VEAP is a human service agency serving the Bloomington, Edina and Richfield area. It began as a Christian outreach program in 1973 with the sponsorship of 13 area churches. Now with more than 50 churches, and the help of local businesses, groups and individuals, VEAP serves residents of the Bloomington, Edina and Richfield areas.
VEAP creates an atmosphere of neighbors serving neighbors, where volunteers, in the spirit of Christian love, help those individuals in our community who cannot financially, physically, or emotionally provide for their own well being.
VEAP programs include putting food on the table tonight to providing assistance with employment and affordable housing over the long-term. VEAP is unique in its ability to develop a coordinated plan that will address a client’s specific situation. Based on the idea of neighbors helping neighbors VEAP provides basic services that fulfill an immediate need in people’s lives and position them for long-term success. The Social Justice/Outreach Group contributes annually to this program.
